Welcome to Take Note Singers!

Who are the Take Note Singers?

The idea of forming a choir was conceived one wine-laden evening by two friends who were discussing the challenge of finding a suitable local singing group to join. As a result, a group of enthusiastic amateurs, consisting of friends, neighbours, and dog walkers who share a love for singing, came together in February 2009 and has been thriving ever since. At Take Note Singers, we are proud to be a social group that readily welcomes dogs. We are constantly seeking new members to join our ranks, regardless of whether you can read music or have experience with harmony singing. Beginners and seasoned singers alike are warmly welcomed, and there are no auditions required. Our repertoire spans from sacred and classical to popular music, allowing us to explore diverse genres. Although we undertake occasional performances for charity, we find joy in the rehearsal process, where we diligently work on new pieces, refining them until they are “performance ready.” Throughout the years, Take Note Singers have graced various venues, including weddings, community Christmas and royal events, dinners, musical evenings, and churches, always in support of charitable causes or by special invitation rather than for choir funds.

Come and join us!

At Take Note Singers, we invite you to join our passionate and talented group. We gather on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8.30 pm for three terms a year, conveniently located near Waterloo station. With guidance from our skilled Music Director, who brings professionalism to our rehearsals, we make sure each session is an enriching experience. To cover our expenses, we kindly ask for a modest contribution of £8 per week. In return, you will have access to a dedicated rehearsal room where you can hone your vocal skills alongside fellow music enthusiasts. If you’re curious about what we do, we warmly welcome you to attend a free taster session. Discover the joy of singing with Take Note Singers today.
